MOLONGLO FORUM REJECTS “CONVERT IT LATER” PLAN FOR TOWN CENTRE
Read the original article →The Molonglo Valley Community Forum (MVCF) has formally asked the ACT Legislative
Assembly’s Standing Committee on Environment and Planning to launch an inquiry into
the planning process and structural outcomes of the proposed Molonglo Town Centre
(MTC).
The Forum argues that the newly released Master Plan and the concurrent Minor Plan
Amendment (MA2026-08) lock in 7,000 new homes while committing to almost no new
employment floorspace, which risks turning the Molonglo Valley into a jobs desert.
