First land released for Canberra's newest suburb

The first block of land to be released for the new suburb of Molonglo, which will be home to the Molonglo Valley’s town centre, will deliver 700 multi-unit dwellings. The Suburban Land Agency has listed the 64,000-square-metre englobo development site — to be sold as a whole before subdivision — for sale by single-stage tender. The land release marks a significant milestone for the district and comes on the heels of the Molonglo Town Centre Master Plan, which proposes 7000 homes in Molonglo.
